Tulsa FirePAC Endorses Re-Election of Senator James Lankford

TULSA, OK – The Tulsa Firefighters Political Action Committee (Tulsa FirePAC) has announced its endorsement of Senator James Lankford for re-election to the United States Senate. “As Chairman of the Tulsa FirePAC that advocates for the more than 700 active and retired Tulsa Firefighters, I am proud to endorse Senator James Lankford in the Republican Primary to represent all Oklahomans in the US Senate. When it comes to issues that affect our members, we know we have a champion in Senator Lankford,” said Matt Lay, President of Tulsa IAFF Local 176.

“I am incredibly humbled and honored to have the support of our Oklahoma firefighters. They are role models and heroes to our kids and lifesavers to our families. My family is grateful for their service and the sacrifice their families make every day,” said James Lankford.

President Lay goes on to say, “Whenever there have been issues at the federal level, we know that we can reach out to Senator Lankford and his team. This has included funding for homeland security grants that assist our men and women on the frontlines of our community, sponsoring legislation to eliminate cancer-causing PFAS in firefighting implements, to his support for the creation of a national registry to research occupational cancer in the fire service. The most recent example was just last week when the Tulsa Fire Department graduated a recruit academy of 55 firefighters, the biggest class in our 122-year history, thanks largely to the funding and advocacy of Senator Lankford at the US Capitol.”
