Lankford Announces Endorsement of Lt. General Stafford

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Families for James Lankford announced today the endorsement of Lt. General Thomas P. Stafford of James’s re-election campaign for the United States Senate. Lt. General Thomas P. Stafford was born in Weatherford, OK. He had a decorated career serving as a second lieutenant in the US Air Force and a pilot for NASA in projects Gemini and Apollo.
“As a boy from Weatherford, I am honored to fully endorse James’ re-election. Oklahoma has captured the type of statesmen that you want representing you in the Senate. A person who leads with integrity, conviction, and hard work, which also happens to be the type of person you would want flying into space. I am proud of the work James has done on behalf of my home state,” said Lt. General Thomas P. Stafford.

It is always an honor to have General Stafford and space pioneer back on Oklahoma soil, especially when he came to express his strong support for our campaign. General Stafford is the embodiment of possibility and opportunity to every kid in Oklahoma, even conquering the moon. I am grateful to have his support,” said Lankford.
Lt. General Stafford appeared at an event with Lankford at the Stafford Air & Space Museum in Weatherford, OK. The event included a question and answer session with Lt. General Stafford and also a self-guided tour of the museum.
